Anness Publishing

I spent nearly two years as an editorial assistant at Amazon Publishing, a small independent packager, before moving in‑house to Anness, where I progressed from editor to senior editor. Since going freelance, I’ve continued to work closely with the team, packaging and contributing to numerous titles – primarily cookbooks, but also some natural history guides.

Drawing on my detailed knowledge of Anness’s systems and extensive backlist, including many titles I project managed while in‑house, I create new books using a blend of existing material and fresh text, written either by the original author or by me. I also source new imagery from stock libraries or work with the publisher to commission photography, briefing and overseeing the shoot as required. I also reset books that were originally designed using Type 1 fonts, or else completely redesign them as part of the update.

Below is a small selection of some of the titles I have worked on since going freelance, but my backlist includes hundreds of others, spanning more than twenty years. Please do ask if you would like to know which subject areas I’ve covered – the answer is, most!
